Cordivari chooses green energy
Cordivari chooses green energy with a 4.24 MWp rooftop photovoltaic system
The project involved the installation of approximately 11,000 photovoltaic panels across the company’s eight factory rooftops, all located in the province of Teramo.
The systems, with a total capacity of 4.24 MWp, will generate 5,375 MWh of green energy per year, enabling a reduction of 2,855 tons of CO2 emissions annually and significantly lowering energy costs.
The real challenge and added value of the project lay in the highly customized system design.
Each roof had different structural and orientation characteristics: the system engineering was therefore specifically developed to maximize the energy yield of each production site.

Photovoltaic System: an intervention focused on energy efficiency, sustainability, and technological innovation
The overall infrastructure, with a total capacity of 4,240.88 kWp, is divided as follows:
-
Site 1 (Z.I. Pagliare – Morro D’Oro): 1,201.2 kWp (3 roofs, 2 PODs – Configuration: OG / OP+OR)
-
Site 2 (Z. Vomano – Morro D’Oro): 522.6 kWp (1 roof)
-
Site 3 (Z.I. Propezzano): 1,466.8 kWp (3 roofs, 2 PODs – Configuration: 3OD / OA + OB)
-
Site 4 (Castellalto): 1,050.28 kWp (1 roof, 1 POD)

Sustainability and Competitiveness.
The investment in industrial photovoltaic energy enables Cordivari to achieve key strategic objectives, both economic and reputational:
-
Made in Italy protection and competitiveness: Improving electricity-related production costs – especially in energy-intensive manufacturing processes – allows Cordivari to keep its entire production in Italy, maintaining global competitiveness without resorting to relocation.
-
Energy independence and cost reduction: The production of 5,375 MWh of green energy per year ensures a significant reduction in energy bills and a lower exposure to fluctuations in energy market prices.
-
Towards the Sustainability Report: This system represents a cornerstone of the company’s ESG strategy, as Cordivari is currently working towards obtaining certification of its Sustainability Report by the end of the year.
-
Green positioning and brand evolution: Actively contributing to the global energy transition sets Cordivari apart from competitors, meeting the growing demand for eco-friendly solutions from an increasingly sustainability-conscious market.
